Strathcona County’s current Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Darrell Reid, is retiring at the end of this month. Strathcona County’s Council has appointed Jennifer Cannon to fill his shoes. Cannon is currently the county’s Associate Commissioner of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer. As the new CAO her duties will consist of leading the development, implementation, and administration of all policies and programs approved by Council. She will also help inform, guide, and advise Council on legislation and municipal operations.
”We believe that Ms. Cannon is up to the task of assuming the CAO role as we continue through the hiring process,” said Strathcona County Mayor, Rod Frank. “Her experience in supporting corporate decision making and providing guidance and leadership to administration and Council will be key to a smooth transition into this interim role.”
