Over 5,000 Chevrolet vehicles recalled across Canada

5,599 2025 Chevrolet Equinox Electric Vehicles have been recalled Canada-wide. The recall only affects certain all-wheel drive models without the Super Cruise feature. These cars may have a software problem that could cause the adaptive cruise control (ACC) to not work properly. When the ACC is activated, it may slow down or even stop if a need to use the breaks is detected. Transport Canada says that if the ACC doesn’t work properly, it could result in collisions.

If you own a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV vehicle, keep an eye on your mail in case you get a letter requesting a recall. In the meantime, General Motors advises you to manually apply the breaks to safely slow or stop the car when using ACC.
