Racially motivated demonstration leaves St. Albert residents shocked and offended

On Saturday at 11:45 a.m. St. Albert RCMP received reports about three individuals holding up racially motivated signs on St. Albert Trail at St. Vital Avenue. Police went to the scene and spoke to the individuals, who all dispersed. No arrests were made.

The RCMP wanted to note that everyone should feel safe and be treated with equality and respect. “We are committed to ensuring everyone we serve can live in communities free from discrimination and bias, and we take any action that threatens the safety and security of others extremely seriously.”
