Two Edmonton residents are facing 40 charges for drug trafficking and firearm-related crimes

Last year in August, the RCMP started investigating two roommates, 54-year-old Jameson Doherty and 42-year-old Timothy York. The two Edmonton residents were both arrested on Nov. 2, 2024. It was discovered that Doherty had more than 55 grams of fentanyl valued around $8,500, 20 grams of meth valued around $1,000, and over $5,000 in cash.

A search of their apartment close to 172 Street and 67 Avenue uncovered the following:

  • A shotgun
  • Two rifles
  • Multiple swords
  • Ammo
  • Over 2,700 grams of fentanyl valued around $408,000
  • 120 grams of meth valued at $7,000
  • 80 grams of cocaine valued at $6,000
  • Hundreds of illegal cigarettes
  • Drug production materials
  • Two different stolen license plates
  • Over $1,000 in cash

They have been charged with a combined 40 drug trafficking and weapon-related charges.
