West Edmonton Mall opened the newest “Kickstand Edmonton” which is a hub that allows people between the ages of 11 to 25 free counselling and peer support. Kickstand is an Albertan initiative to help young people access mental health services. The space was also designed by youths to make it welcoming, accessible, and as comfortable as can be.
Kickstand Edmonton is expected to help between 1,500 and 2,000 youth per year. Young people that are looking for support can book online or just walk in. Edmonton is proud that this is the fourth Kickstand to open in the city.
