In November last year, Justin Trudeau announced a “GST holiday” that gave Canadians a break on GST for different things like food, lots of children’s products, some alcohol, and even Christmas trees. The tax break started on Dec. 14 and ends on Feb. 15, in other words next Saturday.
The “holiday” was implemented to give Canadians a break because the cost of living is so high across the country.
