A fight on Wednesday around midnight at the MacEwan LRT station resulted in the stabbing and death of a 13-year-old boy. He was reportedly part of a group of teens that attacked a man and a woman at the station that evening. The group of four teens and one 18-year-old didn’t know the 32 and 34-year-old couple that they assaulted. No murder or manslaughter charges have been laid. The 15-year-old girl, 14-year-old boy, 14-year-old girl and the 18-year old man have been charged with the following:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of an offensive weapon
The three teenagers and two of the three adults on the scene have been arrested. The second adult has not been charged.
