Man arrested after 30-year-old woman was found dead in a home in Strathearn

A suspect has been arrested after a 30-year-old woman was found dead in a home in Strathearn around 10:15 a.m. yesterday morning. The home is located at 95 Avenue and 91 Street. Police were called receiving a report of a potentially deceased woman and a man with a weapon.

The 36-year-old suspect fled the scene but was caught shortly after. The woman’s body was found inside the house and will receive an autopsy tomorrow. Police say the man and woman knew each other but the nature of their relationship wasn’t revealed.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident.
