Strathcona County RCMP charge 32-year-old David Kelly with drug trafficking

Strathcona County RCMP Drug Unit has made an arrest in connection with an ongoing investigation since August 2024 into an individual accused of trafficking narcotics in Sherwood Park.

Police executed search warrants at three different locations in Sherwood Park and Edmonton, seizing over $15,000 worth of cocaine and over $20,000 in cash representing proceeds of crime.

David Kelly (32), a resident of Edmonton, has been charged with the following:

  • Trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine;
  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine;
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
  • Possess fraudulent identity document.

Kelly will appear in court in Sherwood Park on March 26, 2025.
