Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who was found deceased in a waste disposal bin in central Edmonton late last year.
On Dec. 29, 2024, EPS responded to a report of a deceased female discovered in a bin near Bellamy Hill Road. Surveillance footage from the previous morning, Dec. 28, captured the woman walking alone northbound up an alley from 99 Avenue between 103 Street and Bellamy Hill before entering the bin. Police have determined her death is not suspicious.
Despite investigative efforts, police have been unable to confirm her identity through traditional methods. She is described as an Indigenous woman between 25 and 35 years old, approximately 5’8” tall with a slim build, brown eyes, and shoulder-length brown and red hair. She had a distinct flower tattoo on her right shoulder blade, measuring approximately 12.5 cm long and 9.5 cm wide.

At the time of her death, she was wearing a brown puffer jacket and brown boots. Police have released a composite sketch and images of similar clothing and are urging anyone who may recognize her to come forward.
