Local residents and community groups can now apply for Social Framework Community Grants to drive positive change in the community. The application window is open until May 1, 2025.
The grants aim to support initiatives that promote safety, social connections, and well-being. Funding is available through two streams:
- Community Connection Grants – Up to $300 for neighbourhood events or activities that strengthen community bonds and enhance safety.
- Community Change Grants – Up to $2,000 for projects led by residents, community groups, or non-profits that create meaningful social change.
In 2024, 110 grants were awarded to support various initiatives, including concerts, block parties, a Men’s Connection group, the Seeing Ourselves in Strathcona County campaign, and emergency preparedness kits.
