A drug trafficking investigation led by the Strathcona County RCMP has resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old Edmonton man, police announced Thursday.
On April 9, 2025, members of the Strathcona County RCMP Drug Unit arrested Solomon Tesfai Fadai in Sherwood Park. The arrest followed a targeted investigation into suspected methamphetamine trafficking in the region.
Fadai now faces multiple charges, including two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Following his arrest, Fadai was brought before a justice of the peace and has been remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park on April 14, 2025.
Police have not disclosed the quantity of drugs seized or any further details regarding the investigation, citing its ongoing nature.
