Targeted Shooting in Morinville Leaves St. Albert Man Dead

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a homicide that happened early Friday around 4:30am on 101A Street in Morinville.

Police believe the incident, which occurred in the Morinville Estates Manufactured Home Community, to be a targeted shooting.

The victim was 37 year old Shayne Fry of St. Albert.

Fry had previously been involved in the 2015 murder of Trevor Keith Deleeuw, who was shot dead in a car at the Winterburn Liquor Store and dumped near an apartment building in St. Albert. Fry was sentenced to 6 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in December 2016.
