Heartland Air Quality risk rated as high as very high risk last week

Heartland Air Monitoring Partnership (HAMP) released their readings for last week in the Heartland area, and the readings were pretty bleak.

While the standard is usually sitting at a low rating, which is a rating of 3 or below, the air quality reached as high as an 11 during the end of the week, launching the risk rating to a very high score.

The quality dropped back down to a moderate rating, which is between 3 and 7, but a smoke resurgence late into the weekend pushed it up to a 6.

The air quality has been noticeably worsened by wildfire smoke as we head into fire season. Be aware of the air quality in your area and ensure that you stay safe, especially if you have breathing/lung issues like asthma.
