Ria Mae will then take the stage, the Juno-nominated singer-songwriter from Halifax will be performing some of her hit songs, including songs like “Too Close” and “Ooh Love”, which have millions of streams across music platforms.

Headlining the festival will be the Washboard Union, a Canadian country trio known for their unique performances and stage presence. They’ve won multiple Canadian Country Music Awards and a Juno to go alongside it, so you know that the performance will make for an unforgettable experience.

The performances start at 7 p.m. on Canada Day at the Legacy Park Bandshell Stage. The performances and Canada Day festival is completely free to attend.

As a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Fort Saskatchewan, there’s also an upgraded firework display compared to usual. This year’s fireworks show will be a scheduled 16 minutes long, up from the usual 12. The show will start at 10:45 p.m. on July 1 at the Rotary Ampitheater behind the Northwest Mounted Police Fort. Please note that the fireworks show is weather dependent and will adhere to any fire bans or restrictions in place at the time.
