Advance voting for the upcoming Alberta by-elections have started today.
Two of the ridings up for by-election are in the Edmonton area, those being Edmonton-Ellerslie and Edmonton-Strathcona.
Edmonton-Ellerslie voters can vote at the Ellerslie Curling Club at 530 71 Street and the Meadowlands Baptist Church at 2215 17 Street.
For Edmonton-Strathcona voters, the advance poll locations are at the Ramada Hotel Edmonton South at 5359 Calgary Trail and the Strathcona Baptist Church at 8318 104 Street.
All polling locations are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from today through Saturday, June 21.
Election day is Monday, June 23.
There are four ways to identify yourself as a voter.
You must either
- provide one piece of Government-issued photo ID, including the voter’s full name and current physical address,
- provide two pieces of ID, both containing the voter’s full name and one showing their current physical address,
- have another registered elector with identification who resides in their voting area vouch for you, or
- have an authorized signatory complete an attestation form.
