Some streets in the centre of Sherwood Park faced flooding during the intense downpour that went through the Edmonton area on Father’s Day evening.
Streets like Main Boulevard faced water multiple feet high, causing vehicles that dared to drive through to get stuck.
County crews came out to assist in getting the stuck vehicles out from the pools of water.

The water was so high in some locations that some residents were able to pull out kayaks and canoes and enjoy their favourite lake activities in front of their very own homes.

The water has since been drained from the area.
Roads flooding during heavy rainfall is a common thing on some roads in Sherwood Park.
