Edmonton Transit Services release new trip planner

Edmonton Transit Serivces (ETS) have announced a new and improved trip planner on their website to help residents figure out where they’re going on the city’s transit system.

It’s now a city-owned, first-party tool that uses ETS’ systems directly, allowing users to have the most up-to-date information on potential delays, alongside real-time bus tracking and transit alerts.

The route planner also integrates bus routes from ETS’ transit partners, with most local communities included in the planning service.

ETS has partnerships with Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan, St. Albert, Beaumont, Leduc and Spruce Grove to ensure that no matter where someone lives in the Edmonton area, they can get where they need to go.

The new trip planner is available for web browsers, mobile browsers on iOS and Android and desktop devices.

The new planner is available at tripplanner.edmonton.ca. Other applications like Google Maps and Apple Maps are still viable options for route planning but are missing features of the city-owned option.
