The Edmonton Oilers have confirmed that forward Evander Kane has been traded to the Vancouver Canucks for Ottawa’s fourth round pick in this year’s draft. The pick lands at number 117 overall.
The pick ended up in the hands of Vancouver via Edmonton, who traded the pick for forward Vasily Podkolzin. Edmonton got the pick from a trade alongside forward prospect Roby Jarventie. In exchange, Edmonton sent forward prospects Xavier Bourgault and Jake Chiasson to Ottawa.
This comes after Kane announced the trade himself on his X account earlier today.

Kane was drafted fourth overall in the 2009 NHL Draft to the Atlanta Thrashers. He also spent time playing for Winnepeg, Buffalo and San Jose, before landing himself in Edmonton for the past four years.
Evander Kane now heads back to his hometown of Vancouver to play for the Canucks.
