The Edmonton Oil Kings, Edmonton’s Canadian Hockey League team, have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 AHL season.
Their home opener is on Saturday, September 20 against the Red Deer Rebels, after they get hosted in Red Deer the night before to kick off the 68-game schedule.
25 of the 34 home games for the Oil Kings take place on a weekend or holiday, including games against the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Thanksgiving Monday, a New Years Day game against the Rebels, and against Lethbridge once again on Family Day Monday.
$2 hot dogs return this season with seven Wiener Wednesdays games, the first of which being on October 15 when the Portland Winterhawks come to Edmonton.
This will be the first time that U.S. Division teams are in Edmonton since the 2023/24 season, with the Spokane Chiefs in town on October 21, the Tri-City Americans on January 17, and the Wenatchee Wild at Rogers on March 11.
The Defending WHL Champion Medicine Hat Tigers visit Edmonton four times across the season, on November 1, January 14, February 24 and March 7.
