An 18-year-old woman from Sherwood Park was killed in a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning at the intersection of Range Road 212 and Township Road 544.
Strathcona County RCMP responded to the crash around 7:26 a.m. on June 26. Emergency crews found the young woman, the sole occupant of an SUV, dead at the scene.
The other vehicle, a truck hauling a trailer, was driven by an unidentified individual who was taken to an Edmonton hospital by EMS. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
RCMP investigators remained at the scene for several hours before clearing the area and reopening the intersection to traffic.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and police say the investigation remains ongoing. No charges have been laid at this time.
