The Heartland Air Monitoring Partnership has released their air quality report for June 23-29, with the outlook looking far more positive than it has in the past few weeks.
Due to wildfires not too far away and wind bringing the smoke to the heartland area, the air quality index has been reported to be as high as a rating of 10, a very high rating dangerous for those with or without breathing impairment.
However, the past week showed a vast improvement as to what the area has been seeing. This past week showed a peak of 4, sitting on the low end of the moderate risk section. A majority of the sites bounced between a rating of 2 and 3, both numbers sitting in the low-risk category.
Ensure that you stay up to date with the latest air quality information, especially if you suffer from breathing complications including asthma.
