Evansburg RCMP arrest 4 suspects for allegedly breaking into oil lease sites

Evansburg RCMP have arrested 4 people who are suspected to have broken into oil lease sites west of Edmonton.

RCMP received a call on July 6 from an oil field security team that said that several people were attempting to break into a site. Evansburg RCMP responded and located the individuals who were in the process of committing the offences.

40-year-old Ryan Piche and 44-year-old Grant Boivin were charged with break and enter to commit theft over $5000, mischief over $5000 and two counts each of failing to comply with release orders.

38-year-old Erica Bedell is facing the same charges, but only one count of failing to comply with release orders.

38-year-old Robin Tizzard was charged with break and enter to commit theft over $5000 and mischief over $5000.

Piche, Boivin and Bedell are all residents of Edmonton, with Tizzard being a resident of Bonnyville.

All four suspects were taken before a justice of the peace with Piche, Boivin and Bedell being taken into custody with a court date of July 8, while Tizzard was released on conditions, with a scheduled court date of July 28.
