Parkland RCMP, in partnership with Central Alberta’s Crime Reduction Unit, conducted a warrant round-up targeting known offenders in the area on July 10. As a result, multiple individuals were arrested, including a 19-year-old and a 40-year-old, each arrested on warrants for possession of stolen property over $5000.
As the RCMP attempted to arrest a third individual on an outstanding warrant, a stolen vehicle drove past them. With assistance of the Edmonton Police Service’s Air 1, two individuals were arrested after a brief pursuit.
33-year-old Cody Marcel Young, resident of Spruce Grove, was charged with possession of stolen property exceeding $5000 and possession of stolen property not exceeding $5000. Young was released on parole on July 2, 2025.
The second offender, who is under the age of 18 and as such, cannot be named, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property exceeding $5000, possession of stolen property not exceeding $5000, use of a motor vehicle without a license, use of a motor vehicle while uninsured, fraudulent concealment of a license plate, possession of break and enter tools and five counts of failure to comply with a sentence order.
