Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is celebrating KDays with a historical exhibit and special Arc Card promotion. ETS is hosting a interactive exhibit from July 18 through 27, including two heritage ETS busses and one modern bus, as well as historical artifacts, maps and photographs from ETS history.
Additionally, Arc Card holders can get free general admission to KDays as part of Transit Tuesday on July 22. Simply showing an arc card at the gate will grant free access. Note that single-use Arc tickets and Arc multi-day passes are not valid for the free admission promotion.
An Arc Card is ETS’s transit pass, allowing riders to load money onto their card and use a simple “tap on, tap off” system to pay for their rides. Using an Arc Card also sets daily and monthly caps on how much riders can spend. Once the cap is hit, all other transit rides for that day or month are free.
Arc Cards operate within most of the Edmonton area, thanks to ETS’s partnership with many Edmonton-area transit services such as Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan and St. Albert.
