On June 30, 2021 the St. Jean Baptiste Church in Morinville was set on fire around 3:30 a.m. The building was entirely engulfed in flames causing irreparable damage and forcing nearby homes and a senior centre to evacuate. There are three suspects that were acting suspiciously earlier that evening. Police believe they are tied to the arson and are looking for three men that match the following description:
- Medium complexion
- Two had long black hair, third was wearing a ball cap
- The three were last seen leaving the scene in an early 90’s GMC or Chevrolet pick up with a loud muffler
