After some renovations to improve the shopping experience for customers, Fort Saskatchewan’s Canadian Tire is ready to open its doors.
To celebrate the re-opening, the store is putting on a sale to kick off the warm, summer weather.
The store has been fully renovated to ensure that Canadian Tire will be a long-standing staple in the Fort Saskatchewan community.
“All of it, inside and outside,” said General Manager Anita van Leeuwen-Fagan. “The outside got a brand-new colour, new logos. A whole face lift, from top to bottom.”
“Inside, there’s a lot of new isles, new items. It’s really modern, lots of… LED lights, screens everywhere.’
Kelly and Anita talked about a brand-new electronic locator system within the store, where customers can find the item online and the location of the product in-store will flash green on the isle it’s located in.
“[Products] are easier to find with the new system we had put in. Everything’s electronically priced, so [customers] can go in the app, find the item they want, push the button, and it will flash green [around] the item that you’re picking.”
The store has been working on the renovations since early January of this year, and the whole Canadian Tire team is excited to show off its upgrades to the public.
The store has hired more staff to go along with the re-opening, as well as ensuring that the store is fully stocked for the sales happening today.
Canadian Tire is located at 9510, 86th Avenue in Fort Saskatchewan.
