Ice District to host 2025’s Afro Music Fest

The 2025 Afro Music Festival is headed to Edmonton’s Ice District this summer, hosting global icon Davido as the headliner.

The Afro Music Fest is an annual music festival focused on Afro-Carribean music and culture.

The event brings top artists from across Canada and around the world to one location, delivering incredible performances and international cuisine to the heart of Edmonton.

This year’s headliner is Davido, an American born, Nigeran raised artist who has over 5 billion streams across his 13-year career. He’s worked with other major artists in the past, including Chris Brown, Dababy, and Nikki Minaj.

Davido has had four Grammy nominations, the first in Global Music Album, another for Global Music Performance, one for Best African Music Performance, and his fourth arrived this year for Best African Music Performance for his Chris Brown collaboration “Sensational”. He’s also the first African artist to sit atop the iTunes Albums Chart during the release of his fourth studio album “Timeless” in 2023.

Davido will be performing on August 15th, with tickets available for purchase now.

The artist lineup for August 16th is yet to be announced.
