Edmonton police are launching an investigation into a death that took place during a housefire in north central Edmonton on the early morning of June 1.
Firefighters responded to a fire in the area of 120 Avenue and 77 Street at about 2:30 a.m. on June 1 and located a deceased male inside.
The death has since been ruled suspicious and has been given to the Edmonton Police Service’s homicide team for investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 3.
