A Subway located at 10036 Jasper Avenue has been issued a shutdown order from Alberta Health Services (AHS).
The location was closed on May 30th due to a problem with the refrigeration unit, resulting in high-risk foods being kept above 4 degrees Celsius for longer than safe.
High-risk foods must be kept at temperatures either below 4 degrees or above 60 degrees.
The air conditioning unit was also not working, resulting in the inside of the location being as warm as 38 degrees Celsius.
Another minor issue with the location was the broken paper towel dispensers, but AHS has listed the issue as non-critical.
The location requires another inspection before it can be reopened.
