Edmonton Police Services (EPS) are investigating a fatal collision that took place on Friday evening.
At about 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 13, a Kawasaki motorcycle was travelling northbound on 127 Street. As it approached the intersection at 148 Avenue, a Subaru driver was turning left on a freshly turned red light.
The Kawasaki driver collided with the Subaru and was thrown from his bike as a result.
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, despite the arrival of Edmonton Medical Services and police. The Subaru driver remained on the scene and was unharmed.
The speed of the bike is suspected to be a factor in the collision.
