St. Albert launches app to support well-being of emergency services workers

St. Albert has launched a new app to help support the mental health and well-being of emergency services personnel working for the city.

The city has partnered with Telus to introduce the Espri app to their workers.

It’s a mobile app that provides first responders, dispatchers and municipal employees within policing and fire services with direct access to mental health resources developed with support from occupation-focused clinicians.

The resources in the app are tailored specifically to support the unique mental health challenges associated within these lines of work.

The app was created with funding acquired through the Supporting Psychological Health in First Responders (SPHIFR) grant, which reportedly granted $75,000 from the provincial government.
