Police arrested and charged a man after a homicide in southwest Edmonton on Wednesday, June 18.
Edmonton Police Services (EPS) responded to a suspicious persons call about 1 p.m. in the area of 121 Street and 35 Avenue.
Officers encountered a 27-year-old male who was acting suspicious, and the officers found the body of a deceased individual in a nearby garage.
The 27-year-old male was arrested, and the case was transferred to the EPS Homicide Section.
As a result of an autopsy completed on June 19, 65-year-old Sugeng Pariono was found to have been killed via blunt force trauma.
27-year-old Oleksii Iskra has been charged with second degree murder as a result of the investigation.
EPS say the victim and the accused did not know one another.
