The City of Edmonton is asking for the opinions of residents on the design options for the Crystallina Nera East Community Park at 178 Avenue and 71 Street.
Members of the community can vote between two options.
Option one features four U9 soccer fields and one U11 soccer field. It has a walkway running from a path behind the houses lining 73 Street to 71 Street. There would be a playground sitting in the middle of the park with a seating area adjacent. Two small hills would also be constructed, allowing for sitting during the summer and a sledding hill during the winter.

Design option two features two U9 soccer fields, one U11 soccer field and a baseball diamond. A playground would still be implemented into the park, with a seating area across the path. The walkway would run a slightly modified route to option one but still runs from 71 Street to a path behind the houses on 73 Street. Option two features boulder seating along the pathway as opposed to the benches on option one. There would be three small hills built in design two, with two hills separating the three soccer fields, and one behind the outfield of the baseball diamond.

Residents can vote on their preferred design on the City of Edmonton website, with the voting open until July 8 at 11:59 p.m.. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.
