EPS seek witnesses in central Edmonton hit-and-run

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) are investigating a collision in central Edmonton on the evening of July 12.

A Toyota Echo was travelling eastbound on 97 Avenue at 101 Street when it reportedly experienced a mechanical failure. As a result, it stopped between two lanes at the intersection. It was reported that a Honda CR-V then stopped behind the Toyota.

A Kia Seltos SUV then parked behind the Honda and turned on its hazard lights. As the 42-year-old male driver of the Kia exited his vehicle and walked in front of it, a Dodge Ram hit the Kia, knocking the 42-year-old male into the roadway.

The driver was taken by hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
