Stuff A Cruiser coming to Leduc to support local food bank

Leduc RCMP are stuffing cruisers and tow trucks to support the Leduc & District Food Bank.

The event is going down on December 2 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Safeway (6112 50 Street)
  • Co-op (5421 50 Street)
  • Craig’s No Frills (2915 50 Street)
  • Wal-Mart (5302 Discovery Way)

“Leduc RCMP is thrilled to come together for a 5th year with our partners and the Food Bank to support our community with the annual Stuff a Cruiser event,” says Constable Cheri-Lee Smith with Leduc RCMP.,” It is important to give back to the community we serve and help those in need especially as we head into one of the busiest times of the year for the food bank.”

Last year the community was able to bring in over 2,600 pounds of food. This year, as food back demand grows, the city is hoping to beat last year’s donations.

Items the Leduc & District Food Bank needs most include:

  • Hamburger helper
  • Cake mixes
  • Cooking oil
  • Rice/Pasta Side kicks
  • Mayo (small jar)
  • Instant potatoes
  • Chili, stews, chunky soups
  • Small jars of jam
  • Salmon
  • Assorted veggies
  • Canned meats (chicken, ham)

This is the fifth year of the event, with help being provided by the City of Leduc Enforcement Services, Vintage Towing, and Oil Company Towing.
