Police looking for Sherwood Park stabbing suspect

The RCMP are looking for a suspect in a stabbing at an apartment on Cloverbar Road in Sherwood Park.

Police responded to the stabbing on December 5 just after 8 p.m., where they discovered a 28-year-old woman with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital where they are expected to survive, with the main suspect identified as 32-year-old Guy Menard.

Menard has been charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order. Despite efforts to locate Menard, RCMP have not been able to find him.

Menard is described as:

  • Light complexion
  • Brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Large Monster Energy tattoo on neck

Menard is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him, and instead call 911 or your local police agency.
