Sherwood Park Stabbing Suspect Guy Menard, 32, Arrested in Edmonton

The Mounties say 32-year-old Guy Menard, accused of stabbing a woman the evening December 5 on at an apartment Clovebar Road in Sherwood Park.

Strathcona County RCMP say Menard was arrested in Edmonton.

“Alberta RCMP would like to thank Edmonton Police Service as well as members of the public and the media for their assistance,” Police said in a media release.

Menard faces charges of aggravated assault and failing to comply with probation order.

In a previous media release, police said the victim, a 28-year-old woman, was expected to survive and was treated in hospital for life-threatening injuries sustained in the attack.
