Edmonton Police Service is investigating a Sunday afternoon knife fight around 101 Street and 107 Avenue that occurred around 3:50 p.m.

Police said they were flagged to the incident by a concerned citizen, whereupon police found three people suffering from apparent stab wounds.

Police say their investigation revealed that two men, aged 57 and 45, got into a fight using knives.

They were transported to hospital with serious injuries and both face charges.

The third person, a 33-year-old woman, was also transported to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The 57-year-old man, identified as Michael Goes was recently charged with aggravated assault in relation to another stabbing earlier in December, and released on bail on Boxing Day, Police said.
