Fort Sask RCMP arrest break and enter suspect

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have arrested a suspect in connection to several break and enters on 88 Avenue.

On January 2, police received reports of the break and enters, and while enroute they were given information about the suspect, including a description of their vehicle.

A member of Strathcona County RCMP located the vehicles, but the vehicles fled from a traffic stop. However, officers identifying the vehicles linked one to an address in Edmonton.

At 7:30 a.m. RCMP and Edmonton Police Service executed a search warrant at a home on Kiniski Crescent. This search led to police recovering over $100,000 in stolen drones and accessories.

Chance Dunne, a 28-year-old Edmonton resident, was charged with:

  • Break and Enter to commit Theft (x2)
  • Possession of Stolen Property over $5000 (x2)
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Possession of Break-in Tools

Dunne was released from custody with a court date set for January 4 in Fort Saskatchewan, while police continue to investigate into the other suspects involved.
