Fort Air Partnership: Zero hours of high-risk air

Fort Air Partnership has released data for air quality throughout the fourth quarter of 2023.

Between October and December, the partnership recorded zero hours of high risk air quality throughout their seven air monitoring stations.

In total there were 14,752 hours of low-risk air quality, and 99 hours of moderate-risk air quality throughout the quarter. Compare this to the quarter before, which saw 1,243 hours of high-risk air quality.

However, the stagnant winter weather has led to Environment Canada issuing a Special Air Quality Statement earlier this week.

The Fort Air Quality Partnership doesn’t just cover Fort Saskatchewan, but also Bruderheim, Gibbons, Lamont, Redwater, and Elk Island.

You can keep up to date with the local air quality index by visiting the Fort Air Partnership website here.
