Edmonton Police Service homicide detectives are probing a homicide in the Kilkenny area of the city.
It happened on Monday at around 5:30 p.m. near 77 Street and 147 Avenue.
Police say they found a 38-year-old man in medical distress after responding to reports of a shooting.
Police gave the man first aid until paramedics arrived. Upon arrival, paramedics treated the man, but he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday.
