St. Albert RCMP arrest seven shoplifters in one night

St. Albert RCMP engaged in a crackdown on retail crime over the weekend.

On March 10, police targeted high retail crime locations in the hopes of identifying and arresting thieves and repeat offenders.

Throughout the evening police ended up arresting seven people. Six of these people were adults, while one was a minor. In total, the seven suspects had stolen over $1,000.

Police ended up handing out two warnings, two trespass notices, and charging three of the suspects with theft under $5,000.
