St. Patrick’s Day events in the area

With Sunday marking St. Patrick’s Day, there’s a whole lot of events going on this weekend.

In Fort Saskatchewan there’s going to be performances from The Irish Descendants at the Shell Theatre on Saturday and Sunday. They’ll be performing contemporary and traditional Celtic music.

Unfortunately, tickets for the show have already sold out.

On Sunday in St. Albert there will be a free public skate at the Kinex Arena, which comes just half a week after all outdoor rinks in the city were closed due to the warm weather.

There’s no need to register or apply ahead of time, but attendees will need to bring their own skates.

As for Sherwood Park and Edmonton, Blowers & Grafton is putting on a St. Paddy’s Day Celebration all weekend long at all of their locations.

This event features green beer, east coast food, some live music, and tickets for a dream trip to Ireland.
