Update: One dead after collision with semi-truck in Lamont County

One person has been killed after a vehicle collided with a semi-truck in Lamont County on Saturday morning.

Mounties report that the collision occurred just before 9 a.m. on Highway 16 near Range Road 185.

The driver of the vehicle was declared dead and has been identified as a man. The driver of the semi-truck did not report any injuries.

The RCMP is offering condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.

The area was closed for a time but has since been reopened.
