Update: Leduc RCMP on scene of serious car crash

Leduc emergency services are on the scene of a serious car crash.

The crash happened on Monday (Sep. 11) morning on Sparrow Drive just north of 65 Avenue.

According to police, a motorcycle travelling north on Sparrow Drive lost control and struck a south bound vehicle.

The 29-year-old male driver of the motorcycle, a resident of Leduc, was taken to hospital where he tragically passed away.

The 32-year-old female driver of the other vehicle was not harmed.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
