Fort Saskatchewan library hosts Youth Writing Contest

The Fort Saskatchewan Public Library (FSPL) is looking for entries for their youth writing contest.

“The FSPL Youth Writing Contest is open to all youth authors ages 12 to 18. Youth are encouraged to submit their original poem or short story, with a maximum of 1500 words,” wrote the library in a release.

There’s a limit of one entry per category per person, with submissions open until May 31.

A panel of local authors will be anonymously judging entries, with a prize available for the winners of the short story and poem categories.

The winners will be announced at the local author fair on June 16, with entries needing to be submitted through e-mail to youth@fspl.ca.
