Suspicious death in Downtown Edmonton

EPS are investigating the suspicious death of a man in central Edmonton.

Early in the morning of June 14, police responded to a report of a male in medical distress near 102 Avenue and 103 Street.  EMS transported the 19-year-old man to hospital where he was declared deceased on arrival.

An autopsy determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.  Although the manner of death has yet to be determined, the Homicide Section has taken over the investigation due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
