Two Oilers’ players offered contracts by the Blues

The St. Louis Blues have extended offer sheets to two Edmonton Oilers restricted free agents, defenseman Philip Broberg and forward Dylan Holloway.

Broberg has been offered a two-year contract with an annual cap hit exceeding $4.5 million. The 22-year-old has appeared in 81 games with the Oilers over the past three seasons, recording two goals and 13 points. Broberg was selected 8th overall by Edmonton in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Holloway, 22, has received a two-year offer with an annual cap hit approaching $2.3 million. He has played 89 games with the Oilers, contributing nine goals and 18 points. Holloway was also a first-round pick, chosen 14th overall in the 2020 Draft. Notably, he recorded seven points during the Oilers’ run to the 2024 Stanley Cup Final.

The Oilers now have seven days to decide whether to match the Blues’ offers or allow the players to join St. Louis. The decisions will significantly impact both teams’ rosters moving forward.
