Nathan Rourke is back with the BC Lions, having signed a three-year contract with the team following a two-season stint in the NFL.
On Tuesday, the Lions announced the deal, signaling that Rourke will play a key role in the team’s future plans. Lions head coach and co-general manager Rick Campbell emphasized that Vernon Adams Jr. will continue to be an integral part of the squad.
While the arrival of Rourke may spark some quarterback controversy, Campbell noted that having two standout quarterbacks is a positive development for the team.
Rourke took starting snaps in Tuesday’s practice and, if everything proceeds as expected, he is anticipated to start in Sunday’s game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
